Picked up my MP-7 today .... (first impressions)

So far I find the effects fairly servicable.
The sequencer is easy to get to grips with.
Already programmed a few patterns and done some sound edit tweeks
etc..
This thing sounds SO much better than my RS7000 (coughs and
splutters).
Really FULL sound ,damn nice drum kits in it too.
LOVE the repeat function in grid mode -too cool.
Sounds fab recorded to my Yamaha DAW via SPDIF.
Pads are uber responsive.
Chucks out ALOT of bass for a sample based unit.
It was already preloaded (I got it new w/ OS 2.0) :P.
I may be trading my RS7K for an E6400 Ultra w/full ram etc etc ..
See how I go the next few days but so far I'm quite impressed.
Far more musically applicable sound to my ears than Yamaha stuff
(IMHO of course).
You can pull some pretty sick rythms out of the unit in next to no
time.
Mine has no preset patterns in memory at all :D.
Which I am actually quite pleased about.
Nuttin' like customising your box from scratch.
Looking forward to being part of the group.
I'm gonna get alot of mileage from this baby.
The sound blends really well with the ER-1 ,MicroQ and my RedSound
EleVata.
It makes my RS7K sound quite amateurish as a sonic comparison.
Very very slick.
I like the angle of the face plate and ergonomy of the unit.
Being a left hander those control knobs are in just the right spot.
Great quantise and shuffle too .
Comes damn close to an MPC for feel rythmically.
All in all very very tasty.
Got to get me an XL and Vintage Pro Rom real soon ;).
Cheers.....
