Hmmm, well we're both pretty much doing the same thing then it sounds 
like.  While I do trigger arps here and there, I also let some of them run 
for a couple of patterns.  It's not uncommon for me to be running 12+ 
Patterns tracks, and 3-4 Trigger Arps at the same time, and rarely do I 
hear any kind of timing problem.  Have you tried compacting your user 
memory lately? 

I know it's a last shot, but sometimes I feel the XX-7's seem to really 
respond a lot less smoothly right before the user memory needs to be 
compacted.  I don't have any facts to back this up, it's more of a gut 
feeling thing.  It always seems to run way smoother right after a compact. 
 Anyone else feel this way too, or is it just me?

No rEalm, I'm using notes Triggers just like you, what I think is 
different is that you seem to trigger arp percs here and there 
(giving no time to the arp to run out of sync) on the contrary I use 
some kinda "permanent" arp (bassline)i let run through many many 
different seq drum patterns that's why I run into problems.
