Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Im having a little trouble getting my XL-7 [version 1.31] hooked up to
my PC.

I have a USB from my PC to the XL-7. I have installed the USB drivers
and i verifyed that they were correct and all. Now, when i load the
E-loader to get the new OS, i get a 

"USB Device Not Recognized Error" 

Which states that an "unknown" device [the emu] has malfunctioned
withint the USB. The Error message tells me to power cycle and/or
replace the USB device [yeah..replace the xl-7..with what?]

Any help would be GOOD. ;D
