WTB: more Wiard

2009-06-21 by Tommy DOG

Anyone planning on selling modules of a 300 or 1200 persuasion at reasonable prices. I'd be happy to hear from you. I have space to fill and dreams of what "quad Envelation" might mean.

happy Wiard moment

2009-06-18 by Tommy DOG

I had a friend over yesterday who mainly uses a large 100/200 Buchla and small vintage Serge. He's a very detail oriented guy who has some pretty major electronics design chops. Needless to say he was blown away by the Wiard. Thanks Grant!

Frac a duck on a crutch....

Having some empty spots in my frac console, I, too look forward to WHATEVER Wiard frac modules that you make, Grant! gary (Subject quote from Serge Tcherepnin, circa 1976 in Hollywood).

Frac on!

2009-05-27 by ginorobair

I also cast my vote for Frac versions, no matter what the faceplate looks like. I understand the concept of having a visually appealing module, but I'm in the camp where sound and function trump looks. ginorobair

Possible idea to continue some Frac-Rac mechanical faceplate support

2009-05-25 by Grant Richter

Josh and I discussed the idea of modifying the existing Frac-Rack faceplate designs to fit the Malekko Euro-rack PCBs. This would allow continued support of the Frac-rac format. The modules would have to change. The faceplates have to be much thinner, so the blue engraved style c

Ok, well, if we are going to dial up the way back machine to the first time that we met Grant, I met Grant on the telephone in 1989, when informed by John Payne at Calarts that he had bought all of the Buchla 200 modules that were formerly owned by Calarts. After talking with Gra

Hi, I was just checking the records, such as they are. I met Grant for the first time prior to March 16th 1997 (which was our first musical gathering, or "Serge-fest"). The day I met him, while sitting in his living room, there was a fully machined case and front panel for a 300

Hi Matrix Like most temporal milestones. ie: the discovery of 'America', Groundhog's day, Christmas, & National Frozen Potato Week. The 5 May anniversary of Wiard is more a matter of convention than documentary evidence. My own journal records this on 19 Nov 1998: "looks like som
