For example, even though that someone reads an explanation of a Moog 921 (VCO) they can still apply the basic text to any VCO. I have a good number of modular synth links (generic and otherwise) sitting in my bookmarks file that I'd be happy to share, but I think that each one may push the edge of what you're trying to do just a bit further.
