chris, Although our choices in software and hardware are different, I have the exact same plan in mind for the SK48 in my future. A computer interface by day, and a gigging multichannel mixer by night.... Pardon me while I get up on my soapbox for a moment, but at last we have a viable 5.1 live mixer!!! Up to this point, most 5.1 products are found on the mothership developement systems of most manufacturers - costing $$$$. So, as far as that is concerned, this is a ground breaking product. So now let's wait and see if the tc engineers can get their application bugs solved.... gary Chris Muir <cbm@...> wrote: > > At 10:17 AM +0000 11/9/07, Gary Chang wrote: > >Here is the low down on why I am still interested in this product.... > > Thanks for the mini-review, Gary. > > It still sounds like the perfect interface for me, if the drivers are solid on the Mac. > > I would use it in two situations: > - With Logic and Max/MSP as my recording interface > - With Max/MSP and my Buchla as a live quad mixer > > From your description, it sounds like it would work fine for both these uses, as long as I didn't need to tweak things in the Mixer from the laptop, and instead only used the remote. > > Chris > > p.s. > Is the back of your "expansion cabinet" going to turn blue? > > -- > Chris Muir | "There are many futures and only one status quo. > cbm@... | This is why conservatives mostly agree, > http://www.xfade.com | and radicals always argue." - Brian Eno >
