that metalbox suggestion is on point. adding more features to the controller will just add more time and cost, raising the price of it. i think 700 is enough. having extra attenuation can be had creatively with other modules if it's really that necessary. that's kinda the whole fun of modular synthesis to me. not having to cram every single feature into one module. being able to mix and match every module into your own personal puzzle is where it's at for me.

For anyone else worried about this, Michael Ford at Metalbox will build
you a 1 RU 19" utility panel with 6 or so attenuators on it, in blue, for
less than the cost of a pair of Blacet dual lin VCAs. Pair that with the
controller, and you have a 3U set that will drop right into the empty row
in your Frac system. Right?

I mention this not only because I am a satisfied customer of Metalbox, but
because, very frankly, I would rather Grant spent his time completing the
Envelooper and Wave Terrain Oscillator than revisiting the completed
Joystick/JAG design to squeeze in more features :)
