I, too, gagged on my sandwich when I first saw the Continuum Fingerboard. Then I met the inventor, and examined the device, and decided that the device was probably going reliably work 10 years from now, anad that Lippold was a very nice man who was interested in standing behind his device. So, over the period of the rest of my life, the $$$ for the Fingerboard is too bad. At the Namm show, Don showed the soon-to ship 222 Kinesthetic Input port which he mentioned will have a midi output (unlike the rest of the 200e Series). Aside from the touch plates, it also has a pair of electronic 'rings' that project infared bach to a sensor mounted in the module - outputting a corresponding voltage according to location and movement.... gc
