hiya grant & co. i've been lurking on this list since it started and i thought it was about time i finally post something... i just got back from the AES convention in NY and picked up a free copy of Remix Magazine (alog with a throng of others) while i was there. so i was going through the stack when i noticed the word "Wiard" on the cover of afforementioned periodical. there's a pretty long review and the summary gives the Wiard a 4 out of 5! (i didn't ruin it for anyone did i?). congrats grant! it's good to see a little more press coming your way and good press at that! also, while i'm here, i was wondering how the Micro-Wiard was coming along... are you still considering a stylophone sort of keyboard? are there any other cost-effective options that you've been exploring? from experience, those stylophone keyboards/ pens get pretty rough as time goes on and aren't the most usable thing in the world. they're cute at first but after a short time the novelty really wears thin and you wish there an easy way to quickly move back and forth from one side of the keyboard to the other. is there a way to make a touch sensitive keyboard cheaply (with respect to how much the stylophone keyboard would be)? a poor man's mini-buchla keyboard? just a few thoughts... -jack america p.s. have you ever considered doing any strictly audio designs? like mic pres or compressors?
