Isn't that where the most fun is, using things for other than what they were intended? I'm still trying to grok the JAG process, I think Grant called it a mapper, so why not a signal/waveform mapper now that we know the frequency response? My math is far behind me, but this thing reminds me of forgotten transfer functions and Cartesian to polar/vector cooridinate conversion and like the man says it is an analog computer, somewhat like Paul's MOTM 510 WaveWarper (which I want as well), but the JAG is doing multiple static linear transfer functions as opposed to the 510's single, yet dynamic, exponential transform. Math people: feel free to set me straight, the point is that they are both analog computers. The serious analog computer signal artist probably needs at least one of each and Comdyna or two. :-) http://www.comdyna.com/music.htm Barry --- In wiardgroup@yahoogroups.com, "mrboningen" < darkflametwentythree@h...> wrote: > i hadn't even begun to THINK of the possibilties of processing audio > (as opposed to just using it as a joystick/lfo cv only module) with > the JAG, wow, can't wait till mine arrives! > > gregg
