Lot's 'o Classic Analog Synths For Sale

2003-06-04 by kyhotay

Spring Cleaning my smoke-free studio. Classic synths - blasts from
the past - with that thick, fat analog sound. All units have been
well maintained. All have manuals, along with service manuals and
schematics.

EML 101: Like an ARP 2600 (normalled signal patch plus jack panel
that over rides the normalization) but with FOUR VCO's, not 3 AND a
multi-modal VCF that goes from low pass through band pass through
high pass and everything in between. This synth is NASTY. More
balls than...well I don't want to start a flame here so just insert
whatever synth you think is fat, ballsy, and NASTY. $1,500. Email
me for details if you are serious.

Micro Moog: When only an authentic MOOG filter will do! Real bold &
ballsy for a one VCO synth (plus doubling, of course). Some
scratches on the metal side panels, modulation source switch is
somewhat loose but very functional. I have a special cable to
trigger the Moog from a PAiA dual channel 9700R MIDI>CV converter
which is also for sale separately. $500.

Korg MS-20: More like a processor than a synthesizer, but a hell of
a synth as well. Dual filters make this one a devilish beastie.
Small scratches on the top, rust on the panel jack nuts only with
absolutely no effect on patching (cheap and easy to replace), and the
low C key is bent slightly to the right but does not interfere with
playing the keyboard. $750.

ARP Odyssey: Model 2823, black faced with orange lettering and PPC
modulation controls. Stable oscillators and sweet sounding filter.
Triggering is a bit erratic at times (contacts probably need
cleaning) but since I play it with a MIDI to CV converter I never had
any problems. Also is missing about 18 slider caps but the sliders
are all intact and work fine without them. $500.

PAiA Proteus: Very rare synth since PAiA only made about 100 kits
before discontinuing it. It uses the same CEM series chips as the
PRO-1 and other Prophet series synths as well as Oberheim's Matrix
series. What makes this an exceptional 2 VCO synth is 16 memory
locations for programs as well as a rear patch panel to over ride the
normalized signal path much like the ARP 2600 and Korg MS-20. Synth
is in excellent condition and has been serviced and calibrated by the
factory. $500.

Will also consider selling dual channel PAiA 9700 rack mount MIDI >
CV Converter. Can run up to 8 CV synthesizers as well as many other
combinations. Let me know if you are interested and we can discuss
price. Have special cable as well to trigger the Micro Moog.

Reasonable offers will be considered. All equipment is in top-notch
shape and working order. Shipping from Orange
County, CA. Terms PAYPAL or certified funds.
