Moog: early video & pictures wanted

Moog: early video & pictures wanted

2009-05-01 by Bill Sautter

I'm trying to find 1960s/1970s-era VIDEO/AUDIO & PHOTOSof arists
playing Moog modulars, MiniMoogs, etc.
Among others, I'd like to find video or photos of these artists with
their Moogs:
- Walter Carlos (anyone have the NBC Today Show video from '68/'69
with W.Carlos & Bob Moog?)
- The Doors (first rock band to use a Moog on their "Stange Days"
track/album in Oct. '67)
- The Monkees (first pop band to use a Moog on the track "Daily
Nightly" in Nov. '67 - see YouTube)
- The Beatles (used a Moog on 4 tracks of "Abbey Road" including
"Maxwell's Silver Hammer")
- Beach Boys (Theramin used on "Good Vibrations")
- Rick Wakeman/Yes on the MiniMoogs (I have "Six Wives..." excerpts
from "Yessongs" video)

This is a project for the Bob Moog Foundation.

I already have MANY photos of Bob Moog himself with his instruments
(available on the Web, etc.). In this case, we specifically want
videos & photos of ARTISTS/BANDS with their Moogs (possibly with Bob
Moog included).

You can email me Web-links, photos and videos directly. Try to keep
individual emails+attachments <10MB; if necessary, send multiple
emails with separate attachments.

Thank you,
Bill

Not so. They used a Tannerin... similar concept but not the same beast (in lots of ways).

And it is Theremin. I know... being picky. (grin)
