Farnell FG-1
2003-04-15 by Craig Wood
Hi (again to the former oldsynthers) all. Thought
it was about time I subscribed to the new list.... funny, though, there's been
no spam coming from oldsynth since the list moved!
For anyone who remembers, I fixed my cs-60 problem
(5th keypress stuck in high note). Turned out to be a capacitor
on the KAS board. It's still considerably louder on this note, however, and I've
replaced all the ca3104t op-amps in line and all the 4000 CMOS. Any
suggestions?
Incidentally, I recently saw a CS-60 up on ebay
(uk) for 1000 Pounds (sterling) (that's about $1600 to you guys Stateside)!
I paid 200 for mine! Lucky me...
Anyone here ever used a Farnell FG-1 function
generator? If so, any tips/suggestions/anything would be great, particularly if
you know any way of triggering it. It's a fantastic piece of kit and
creates some wonderful "test-tone" frequencies and the modulation is superb...
solves all your between-tracks-at-a-gig problems! I'm hoping to run it thru a
Barr & Stroud filter soon (once we've got that working! - again any info
would be great), so modular synthesis agogo!
See ya'all later,
Craig
