SH-101 Help Please !

SH-101 Help Please !

2004-07-07 by oxygeno1313

Hi,

I have a Roland SH-101, but the SQUARE wave output sounds very tiny
compared with the SAW and SUB OSC output, i had the same problem with
a SCI Pro-One long time ago, but that was only that was un-
calibrated. I tought could be the same problem, but everything it's
ok, the scale and tune are fine. I checkd the pin ouputs of the
CEM3340 and seems to be fine, also i tested with other 3340's but
nothing, anyone have a clue ?

Thanks,

Akira

Maybe a bad capacitor? synths that old often have leaky caps.
I am not a repair guy but something to check...

Howabout the trimpot in there for PWM calibration or pulse width (VR2?).
I have an Odyssey whose 50% duty cycle was more like 10% because of
this. Just an idea. Otherwise someone would probably have to chase it
down with a scope.
