CSQ 600

Well, I'm thinking of buying a Roland CSQ 600 CV/gate sequencer, and
I was just wondering if anybody uses one and had any opinions? I
think it would pair up nicely with the ol' SH2, and the DIN sync
could be fun. What else besides the 808, 303 et. al uses DIN sync?
Any less famous bits of gear? Some korg stuff had a slightly
different version on it.

Hi I have the CSQ 100 paired with an SH2 as part of my original kit
ie bought new). If you get one, here's something to try that I don't
think is in the manual..try putting portmento on the synthesiser and
hit hit record..if it's like mine you will get glissando rather than
portmento as the sequencer tries to work out the pitch of the input.
Another trick is to create a click track. and then run two sequencer
lines..because it doesn't work properly you get some interesting
organic semi sequenced stuff.

Well that does sound interesting. Thanks for the info dude! You
really came through for me, unlike some of these other guys... I
have a Korg DDM 110 with DIN sync on it, so I'll try to pic up that
CSQ soon.
