thanks -- i'll work thru these tomorrow. don't know how many pins there are in the cable but it's way more than the number found in a midi cable (3, right?). the cable for the g10 is round like a midi cable and about the same size -- without going back out into the studio, i'd say there was somewhere between 7 and 10 pins. i'll log onto yahoo tomorrow and post messages in the groups that you suggested. thanks again and have a happy and prosperous new year!
