Kit was a member of the late 70s prog band Happy The Man. He went on his own and has created some great ambient music. He offers free downloads on his website.

hey.suppose i detach the motor and install a hand crank.i think it s in the cable as i was able to use it for a bit by taping the cable in a certain position
