1. I'm playing hooky from work today, because I have to wait for the cable modem to be installed. 2. No sooner do the cable modem guys leave, than my wife hands me a UPS package with my Encore UEGs. 3. Life is GOOD. Moe Boy those tiny knobs are cute!

Bastard. :) I got my cable modem about 2 weeks ago. Tasty! I thought I was spoiled by the quasi-T1 at work, but wow! That cable modem's FAST! I won't mind the extra cost per month. Now if I could only get out of work for a few days to spend with my soldering iron. Tomorrow we're having ISO certification, perhaps that would be a good time... ;) --PBr

Downtime? You mean when @Home decides to blow away their servers and leave all their poor helpless customers in a lurch? They already did that once with the newsgroup server-- took them 2 days to fix the durned thing. Of course, with my luck, they'll crap out right when I need to get online to check out some 822 / 831 construction details. Urg! :) --PBr

Support a established, reliable local service. Its fun and keeps people working in your area. Jim Brousseau, Paul E (Paul) wrote:

No other choice for me. To far away from the telco switch to get DSL, and after watching my boss spend 24 hrs installing Starband, only to have his bandwidth yoyo up and down, up and down - @Home was about all I could get. Yes, indeed it is, both an MOTM 440 kit and a largish check arrived in the post today. What does that organic flux solder smell like? It is familiar but I can't quite get it. P --- In motm@y..., doc@t... wrote:

Almost, close but not quite related. I've returned to school, to get, you guessed it, (seeing as that my name is Paul and I'm on this list) an EE degree, and today I saw some financial aid. I've been listening to Jimmy Rodgers and soldering ever since ( the package arrived) P --- In motm@y..., "Paul Schreiber" <synth1@a...> wrote:

Rats! My Expressionist arrived and they decided to route my 2 UEGs through South Carolina instead of TX. They all must have shipped together. I should get my today. Cheers! Shemp P.S. Where did Curly go? It seems like I am always filling in for him! Wise guy, huh! P.P.S. Are there any women on the list? Or MOTM customers at least?
