This sounds like it would be an interesting controller. However, I was only
able to read the one press release (thanks for the link PBr!) but I couldn't
see anything about this instrument on the BB website. I'm much more
interested in this control surface than the instrument which it is a part of.
Anyone know if BM is looking into releasing the controller on its own? I'd
sure like to see one of these with a more complete description so I'd have a
better idea what it could do (in a modular setting).

My guess is the marketing guys says, release the synth first with this
technology and then release stand alone control accessories. Otherwise,
they won't sell as many synths.

ACTUALLY THERE WAS AN AP NEWSWIRE STORY THAT CAME ACROSS LAST FRIDAY
ABOUT DR. BOB AND HIS NEW ACCESSORY, A PAD THAT RESPONDS TO TOUCH,
DIRECTION AND PRESSURE. I'LL SEE IF I CAN DIG IT UP HERE AT WORK AND
I'LL SEND IT TO THE LIST (WITH THE APPROPRIATE OT PRECEEDING IT) -NATE

All I can say is that this controller sounds really cool. Finally Buchla is
getting some competition!

Re: [ot] Big Briar/Expression Module?

from the article: "moog features a multiple touch sensitive keypad that
lets a musician alter sounds by finger placement and movement. Rolling
the finger forward can create one sound, rolling to the side can make
another one, and poressing down, yet another" I got the impression this
was going to be like a Korg Kaoss Pad, something to alter existing
sounds. I will admit that this APwriter prob had no idea what he was
reporting on, and may have mixed the facts. It's says he'll have it at
NAMM so we'll see... -Nate
