Nigel Tufnel, lead guitarist of Spinal Tap talks about MOTM Synths:

"Well, they're very black, wouldn't you say? Much like our "Smell The
Glove" album. But I do have a problem with the knobs. They only go up to
ten, you know. In fact, some of the knobs go backwards, less than zero
and such rot. When I pointed this out to Paul, he told me that I should
think of it as 'going past ten in reverse', a concept I was comfortable
with, although I believe this should be explicitly stated in the
manual."
