Oh, I forgot the phaser questions:

1 - When were we expecting the MOTM phaser?

2 - Anybody own the Mooger Phaser and care to comment on it?

3 - What seems to be the going rate for the new Mooger Phaser and that
pedal thingy?

4 - Does a stooge have room in his studio for two great (and hopefully
quite different) phasers?

Hmm...

1) cheap crap-o shit CTS open-frame carbon trim pots (just like the original
921!)

2) open-frame panel carbon pots (worse than the original 921!)

3) No coax on audio leads

Sorry. I'll take a MOTM-300 VCO. Cheaper, too!

I know most people on this list probably know the story of the three Moogs.
It's kind of like the three little bears, except papa Moog has a new name
and baby (Cincinnati) Moog has been a very bad boy allegedly stealing
people's deposits for re-issue MiniMoogs that never came to be and
allegedly stealing some university's modular under the guise of repair.

So, I thought it interesting when I saw this on E-bay. Those of you that
may have original Moog VCOs, I am wondering how the construction compares.
I wonder how man modules were actually made and sold. I also wonder if any
of it was worth a damn from a construction. Not that I am interested in
any of it mind you. I already have found a good source of high quality
modular <snicker>. However, from a curiosity and historical standpoint....
Well, you see...

Oh, me too. No doubt about it. I just find it interesting to see one of
these actually in the aftermarket AND commanding such a price. Oh my !!

This is not allegedly. Don Martin stole OU's modular.

But about the VCOs and other stuff his short-lived company made,
they are rumored to be made to the same standards as the original
modules. (whether or not they are indeed OU modules with new
faceplates attached remains to be seen) The minimoog he tried
to produce is a different story. The wiring on the front panel
was perfect, and the woodwork was great, but the circuit boards and
sheetmetal were atrocious. Not to mention he was shipping them
to customers without ua726s.... Don Martin's company was purely
a case of a greedy SOB with zero electronics and manufacturing
knowledge trying to make knock-offs of another's products with
zero value added.
