This is not allegedly.  Don Martin stole OU's modular.

But about the VCOs and other stuff his short-lived company made,
they are rumored to be made to the same standards as the original
modules.  (whether or not they are indeed OU modules with new
faceplates attached remains to be seen)  The minimoog he tried
to produce is a different story.  The wiring on the front panel
was perfect, and the woodwork was great, but the circuit boards and
sheetmetal were atrocious.  Not to mention he was shipping them
to customers without ua726s....  Don Martin's company was purely
a case of a greedy SOB with zero electronics and manufacturing
knowledge trying to make knock-offs of another's products with
zero value added.
