1% resistors ?

1% resistors ?

2000-02-18 by mark scetta

paul,

i've been amassing a stock of 1% resistors. is it, as a rule, always better
to use them in place of 5% resistors? would my motm stuff benefit by
substituting these for the ones you provide?

In most cases, not really. I use 1% where needed. Certainly, there is no
*harm* in
doing so. Hewlett-Packard has beed using only 1% resistors for years: even
as a pullup!
