hey ken, i have seen the pictures of your studio, but more importantly, so
has my wife. she gave me that look, the one that means "not in my house."

Isn't the ultimate goal of building a modular, to have it eventually fill
half a room? Sounds like your wife has already put a limit on your modular
size.

i beg to differ here - surely there is NO ultimate goal with a modular
synth..?
schreiber's second law states that a modular synthesiser will always expand
to fill the void it occupies (schreiber's first law is something about LEDs
but this is where my O level in physics lets me down :-)
my motm has been in the studio where i work for the last week, my stock
reply to those who ask when it'll be finished - when i'm dead, or possibly
later

cheers

oh yes, and schreiber's third law states that paradoxically (?) a void will
constantly expand under pressure from a modular synthesiser contained within
it
(i could harp on all day on this tip, but i've got to get to work...)

Tell her that "size is everything."

Sounds like your wife has already put a limit on your
modular size.

it's not the size that counts, its how you tweak it!

Just keep telling yourself that, Steve.

I was taking Polaroids of my modular the last couple of days. I was thinking
"without patchcords = softcore porn. All patched out = hardcore porn." I'll
have to put up a page on my site like that ;)
