MOTM

Well, here is the exciting result of 12 hours of MOTM-440 parts placement!
About 1/2 way done. Will be able to start routing this weekend. Placement
is about 75% of the work. See all the parts with 'X'? That means there were
duplicates from Copy..commands, so I have to assign a temp value, then go
back
one at a time and edit the part, then overlay the text in the correct spot
(the CAD
tool plops it down closeby). Then..I have to place the parts "on grid",
which is a 25mil
spacing, so that when I route, there is clearance inbetween pads. MOTM is
tough
becaise I don't route between IC pads (because I'd rather use 80-mil pad
diameters
for solder ease).

Of course, I try not to think about stuffing all those bags with all the
parts! I look forward
to a slew (PUN) of simpler modules after this one.
