MOTM

here's a question for the group.  i have not tried this yet, but really want
feed the headphoneAUDIO output from my 303 into the GATE INPUT of my EG 800.
i am using the cv/gate out of the 303 to sequence the 101.  i guess i could
create a splitter cable, but, I AM LAZY.

what would happen if i did this?  would it retrigger the EG?

I don't think it would do what you want - make the splitter cable (or use a
mult).

The EG wants a signal that goes high to turn the gate on and goes low to
turn it off.  An audio signal would bounce all over the place.  I don't know
what the fastest rate the EG can accept a Gate, but it certainly doesn't
want audio, but it could be interesting to try ;)

I believe the EG wants 0V and +5V gate signals.  The headphone out is likely
to be +/- 6V AC.

I know nothing about the 303, but I think (like Eric) this might not do what 
you're intending. Remember that pulse inputs "expect" a certain level (I 
think it's about 5V in the case of the MOTM 800), AND also expect you to get 
there in a very short amount of time (part of what makes a particular signal 
a GATE signal). Give it a try, and tell us what you find.
