I don't think it would do what you want - make the splitter cable (or use a mult). The EG wants a signal that goes high to turn the gate on and goes low to turn it off. An audio signal would bounce all over the place. I don't know what the fastest rate the EG can accept a Gate, but it certainly doesn't want audio, but it could be interesting to try ;) I believe the EG wants 0V and +5V gate signals. The headphone out is likely to be +/- 6V AC.
