motm-120 output

2006-12-26 by Jonathan Snipes

Hey, just a quick question ... my 120 seems to have a very low output
compared to the rest of my synth ... my oscillators are from dotcom,
and the difference in volume between a raw waveform out of the
oscillator & the output of the 120 (with all the suboctaves turned
all the way off, and the A IN knob turned all the way up) is
significant ... I also installed the Tellun daughterboard, and the
individual suboctave outputs seem to be of normal volume.

Just curious if this is true for others, or if I assembled mine
poorly (entirely possible)

What you describe is normal. The signal from A and B IN through the
mixer with the input switch on NORMAL is *one third of the input level*,
by design. The level of the outputs from the Tellun daughterboard are
fixed and independent of the input levels.

Thanks, Richard - that makes sense.
