Blacet Stonz (MOTM) FP

Blacet Stonz (MOTM) FP

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the Blacet Stonz VC phaser front panel (in MOTM
format) has a textured surface like the MOTM ones or is it anodized
black aluminium like the Blacet frac-rack modules themselves?
Thanks
Kerry

hello there,
the one i have, from Blacet, is almost an exact match
the black textured surface is identical - only the text has very minor differences (to my typography trained eyes)
cheers

For what it's worth, it's easy to add some texture to a smooth panel.
I recently got a panel (made by Suit & Tie Guy) that is made just
like the old Moog modular panels: black anodized aluminum with bare
aluminum graphics. It looked nice but I wanted a better match to my
dotcom modules, since I don't have any Moog modules. So, I dusted it
with a few light coats of clear spray paint (I used Rust-oleum but I
hear that Krylon is good, among others). I purposely sprayed very
lightly so as *not* to make smooth coats. Plus, it dries really
quickly. It's not *as* textured as MOTM and dotcom panels, but it
blends right in with them. Color me happy. :-)

We went to a lot of trouble to get an exact match (we did really good!).

BTW, we have 3 sets of StonZ MOTM PCB, FP, bracket left (see our order page).
All other Blacet/MOTM StonZ parts have been sold to a third party who will
be building them up to order. (I'm sure you will hear from him...)

I didn't mean to suggest otherwise! My Time Machine panel looks great. :-)

AFAIK, most if not all of the MOTM-format panels for Blacet modules
came originally from Stooge, which means they are a 99% fit with MOTM.
