Anybody ever try these for ribbon controllers?

I think these respond to pressure (force), not position. There was
talk a few months back on the SDIY list of maybe sandwiching one of
these with a position-sensitive ribbon to give position (e.g. pitch)
and pressure (e.g. velocity), but I don't know if anything came of it...

I had good success with my simple dual ribbon controller. The
construction article is posted at-

http://www.wiseguysynth.com/larry/ribbon/ribbon.htm

This project was built from readily available materials. I only
bought the jacks and switch.

Another controller that I'm having a lot of fun with is my new
electric bongos. Simple, cheap and fun (jeez - that describes most
of my first girfriends!)as described here -

http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/SOUNDLABMINISYNTH/drum_
trigger.html

I've got a small pile of X-Y resistive touch screens (clear) that
need to be experimented upon. I've you're feeling experimental and
don't mind getting stuff free, send me an email off-list with your
mailing address.

Not being a keyboard player, it's important to have fun
alternatives. And girlfriends.

Chub - married, much to everyone's surprise.

For only $15 more you can just buy the Kurzweil PC2 Ribbon. There was
some discussion on synth-diy on this. I bought one and interfaced it
through my PSIM. It's three independent ribbons. Works great.

I put some details such as the pin out at the bottom of my
ExpressionMate controller page

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
