MOTM-650 shipping!!!

MOTM-650 shipping!!!

2006-03-30 by Paul Schreiber

After 2 1/2 *years* of blood, sweat and tears, the MOTM-650 has officially been
released.

Dave "Stooge Moe" Bradley has the honor of getting the first one (Robert Rich's
is a hand-built prototype).

I plan to ship at least 8 more tomorrow and 8 on Friday.

The firmware has a "known bug list" that I will post tomorrow. If you have a
unit on order, and you want
to wait to get the next revision (no sooner than April 15th), please email me.
If I *do not* hear
otherwise, I will ship all MOTM-650s on order as Rev 1.0 as soon as I can build
them up (it takes
about 50min per unit). The bug list is not severe: Robert made *2* CDs with a
list much longer
than 1.0 has :)

Remember, all bug fixes are free and flashed in over MIDI using the (for now)
Windows utility.

Thanks to my ace programmers at Synthcom (makers of the Europa mod for Jupiter
6s) and
to PM Assembly (the folks that make the boards per the video).

OK, back to work!

Congratulations Paul!

Having been on a few major projects myself, I can imagine how you feel
right now. Do yourself a favor: sometime this year take a break and
reflect on what you've accomplished - not just the 650, but the whole
shebang! Someday I'd love to have a MOTM specific get together where a
bunch of us can meet, greet, and eat.

-Greg (in the queue for 2 650s myself!)
