Cabinet...?

Cabinet...?

2006-03-21 by brownchonald

Hey Guys,

I was curious if any of you could point me in a direction of where I
can get a MOTM compatible cabinet.

Synthesizers.com style, but able to fit MOTM.

Thanks,
Cole

The .com *WOOD* cabinets will fit MOTM just fine. They have about 0.050 of
"slop" top-to-bottom.
What I do (I've bought 4 of them for various configurations) is use 2 credit
cards as a "shim" when
marking holes to be drilled into the wood 'rails'. I get a *brand new* 1/16" bit
and drill pilot holes.

I also (usually) just order the .com supply and stick some MOTM-990s in there :)

Synthesizers.com cabinets fit MOTM quite well. The Stooge flat rails
make these wonderfully flexible. I swap modules in and out all the
time. These cabinets are deep enough to hold converted Blacet and CGS
modules on long Stooge brackets. The only limitation is that the 4-pot
long bracket does not fit in the lower part of the double cabinet. The
way I mount the Power One supplies leaves room for standard MOTM modules
(such as a MOTM-300 VCO) in front of the supply.
