New Module suggestion

Hey All -

I've been thinking about a new module; maybe Paulk would be interested
in something like this?

The idea is a number (3? 4?) of cascaded S&H units with the input of
one normalled to the output of the previous unit. Each 'step' has
it's own out. THis is similar, I think, to Ken Stones ASR.

I've modeled it using software modulars (I don't have enough S&H
modules in my rack) and it sounds very interesting. I'll post a
sample if folks are interested.

What do you think?

Cool.

You could have a clock input for each S&H. They'd be normalled together in a
chain, so they normally all run in sync, but you could patch in multiple
clocks for different effects.

Yes, neato, and you could also have the input of each stage available
in case you want to use each as separate S&H's.

BTW, I meant Paul Schreiber in my original post (who the hell is Paulk
anyway?)...*sigh* I suck at typing.

Right. Meant to say that, too.

It's basically a quad sample & hold, but with some kind of timing trick (?)
to let it act as a shift register. It's twisting my brain up to think about
it, right now!

How did you model it?

Using Vaz Modular - it has a Cascading S&H module...
