You may want to get designs fixed in place earlier this time. I know
that I held out tell the end so that I could see what cool designs
would pop up.

One other issue is that I'm guessing that their will be some designs
this time that may require larger panels.

The next Stooge panel run

2003-12-09 by J. Larry Hendry

I had hoped that in late January I would be taking orders for panels to be
delivered in March. However, I just got an e-mail from my painter. He is
having surgery January 13th and will be unable to paint our metal until
March. So, right now, the schedule looks like this:

Order metal February 1 (I was going to do that this week)
Metal to painter by March 1.
New designs to Dave Bradley by March 1.
New designs to printer in late March.
Painting complete late March.
One week to quality inspect metal and deliver to screen printer
Screen printing complete in late April.
Quality inspection and packing in late April / early May.
Shipping by mid May. Drilling orders a week or so later.

This is about 6 or 7 weeks later than what I had hoped for. But, that is
the best we will be able to do.

Now, last time we did panels, I estimated the metal needs and had metal in
hand being painted before anyone placed an order. The reason was to reduce
the time between order time and delivery time. That worked out pretty well
except that I ran short of metal at the last minute even though I estimated
within 5 pieces on a 400 panel order. :)

So, I am thinking this time I will go ahead and open up for orders on
January 15 so I can get a feel for how much metal I need to get cut and to
the painter by March 1. As long as everyone understands that the delivery
is mid May when placing their order. I just see no reason to delay ordering
until March since the delivery date will not chance.

All feedback welcome.

Agreed, there were so many cool designs to choose from last time, I couldn't
decide - so I sat that one out. It's kind of like when you find a sale at an
excellent store that's about to close. I'll be in for at least a few this time -
finances permitting, that is.

hello all,

open questions to larry and scott - if delivery is may 2004, then is it
worthwhile putting out panels for scott's remaining designs..?
also, what was the charge again for a panel layout if i supply the details
but not the actual artwork..?

cheers

I was sort of anticipating that might happen. But, I do not know where
Scott is in his development cycle. I've been lazy and not keeping up with
his website (bad Stooge).

I think Moe is getting $15 for that on individual panels. On a panel that is
for the masses that gets waived.

Please don't make panels for the TLN-388 or TLN-774; I won't have
them completed in time for the next panel run (the day job is
consuming every minute of my life, unfortunately). The suggested
panel layouts on my website are no longer accurate for these two
modules, I changed them significantly a few months ago.

I will be getting panels made for the TLN-156.
