Help: MOTM 120 kit

2003-01-16 by mate_stubb <mate_stubb@yahoo.com>

The MOTM-120 kit was either the first or second module that Paul
released. He just didn't add the specific instructions to solder the
vias until later kits.

It's always OK to solder them.

Help!
I ami building the Motm 120 kit and I ran into a problem.
All of the other kits I have built on the instructions paul says to
solder the VIA holes. I am getting ready to mount the PC board
and I realized that no where in the instructions have I read to
solder the VIA holes???

hmmm... i think i remember having the same question when i put mine
together, but i never soldered them thinking the instructions would tell
me to if i were supposed to. however, my 120 works fine. does signal flow
through the through-plating even if you don't solder them?

bleep.

On a perfectly manufactured board, yes. However, the plating is
microns thick, and soldering the via holes helps overcome any little
problems in the plating process.
