I know similar issues have been discussed previously, but I am wondering what people's current suggestions are for pedals to connect to the '850. Thanks! Thanks Larry! How is the breath controller mod coming along? Which breath controllers are still available for sale? I have seen a couple of bad reviews of the MO0G pedal. Has anyone else tried it? Does it actually output a CV? Are there any CV out pedals available? Or that were ever available? Cheers! If you want nice rubber coated long-throw that is adjustable from seated to standing - Yamaha FC-7 gets my vote. If you want a cheap piece of crap short-throw plastic jobbies, get the Roland EV-5. Having shown my obvious bias, I did find that for snapping across the entire pot range a wah-wah type speed, the Roland was less tiresome to use. But for swells and anything that requires a bit of touch (like volume control in a live performance), the FC-7 is it for me. While the 850 can work with a variety of pedals, there were the two selected as most popular, and the resistors were sized for optimal operation on these size pots. Larry Hendry

Sure, I use a old Moog 1120 CV pedal with my MOTM. They pop up on Ebay once in a while. At 08:07 AM 1/11/2003 -0800, Tentochi wrote: >Or that >were ever available? -dave- http://www.hylander.com

I bought a FC-7 on Larry's suggestion (I already have two EV-5's). It's a nice pedal, heavy contruction, and costs about $15 less than the EV-5. But I too find it a bit tiresome to use since it really pushes your ankle to its full extremes. It's also almost too big. Perhaps you should ask yourself if you're planning on using the pedal with other devices also. If so, I'd go with the EV-5 because it has a scaling pot and I'm thinking probably also a more standard connection. If you're only going to use it with the 850, then the FC-7 is nice if you don't mind the amount of foot motion to use it. -Elhardt
