I bought a FC-7 on Larry's suggestion (I already have two EV-5's). It's a nice pedal, heavy contruction, and costs about $15 less than the EV-5. But I too find it a bit tiresome to use since it really pushes your ankle to its full extremes. It's also almost too big. Perhaps you should ask yourself if you're planning on using the pedal with other devices also. If so, I'd go with the EV-5 because it has a scaling pot and I'm thinking probably also a more standard connection. If you're only going to use it with the 850, then the FC-7 is nice if you don't mind the amount of foot motion to use it. -Elhardt
