Problem with my Pro 2000

Problem with my Pro 2000

Hi there,
I have a problem with my Kenton Pro 2000 creating AC Hum. Is anyone on this list interested in fixing it for $ or buying it?
Thanks,
-Matt

Please be more specific. How do you know it's the Kenton. I'm curious, as I have sold over 100 of
them without 1 single complaint.

First off, the item was purchased used and it had been opened by the
previous owner, so it was probably damaged when I bought it, but as I was
new to all things audio, and generally naive in nature, I didn't notice for
a while.

The reason I know its the Kenton is b/c when I have nothing plugged in
except the modular I have 0 noise. When I plug in the Kenton, suddenly
there is noise. Plug out the Kenton, noise disappears. Am I missing
something?

It could be a ground loop issue. Is everything plugged into the same wall
outlet (or outlet strip)? If not, it could be that a wall outlet is wired
improperly. Are all plugs three-prong or polarized types? If not, possibly
one (or more) of the two-prong non-polarized plugs need to be reversed, or
maybe you have a defective outlet strip.

Everything is plugged into the same power strip and that power strip is new and works just fine for my other gear.
