I needed a supply for my new wood upper cabinet for AHMW this weekend. So, I whipped up the 2U high prototype we have been discussing for SKB pop up cases. For your entertainment: http://www.wiseguysynth.com/larry/power.htm Stooge Larry

Been working great for me... Les Mizzell - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Did you ever walk into a room and forget why you walked in? At least, that's what it looks like when the lids are on and it's ready to go somewhere... Heh... Perhaps he plans to release the MOTM i've been hearing *that* for like a year and a half. :) paul's got his hands full with the u-series and the 500 series and running the business in general, so i don't expect this ps is a priority. > I could whip some of these up by hand, but, I would look for a nice power > switch that fits in a round hole. Looks cool! I did 1U one about a year ago, and it was nice to get the 3U width back for more modules. Bruce --- In motm@y..., "J. Larry Hendry" <jlarryh@i...> wrote: > I needed a supply for my new wood upper cabinet for AHMW this weekend. So, I

I guess I had envisioned that the interconnecting power cable would connect in the front, with a receiver on the other end like this http://www.wiseguysynth.com/larry/paul/back.jpg, or on some other 2U high 19" panel with other stuff on it. Tell me more about how you connect to the back on the receiving end. No, There are currently no plans to make this available as a Stooge panel. I'm not saying we would not, but I the concept to make a prototype like this was originally proposed to me by Paul. Perhaps he plans to release the MOTM power supply in this format. Paul? If not, and if there is sufficient interest, perhaps a Stooge retro panel could be considered. Interest expressed to me so far in the SKB pop-up back I prototyped has been very low. (I'm still waiting on the quote BTW). I could whip some of these up by hand, but, I would look for a nice power switch that fits in a round hole. Cutting the rectangular hole in this steel was a royal pain. The white connecting wire may not look large enough in the photos, but it is. It is special utility grade wire. That is actually # 14 inside there. Larry
