Great ideas with the wacky LFO's!! gonna make some great 500 series modules.. Theyll never be able to say that MOTM is too vanilla again!! I had an idea for an LFO based on three tri LFOs that would modulate eachothers rate, or sync, all variable .. It never got past that brainstorming stage.. just a thought of how weird it could get.. 500 series for sure.. ~Steve M

Then how about an electric generator run off of a propane engine?? That would make the best sine. A solenoid on the throttle could provide VC Rate. Add a flywheel and it's now ultra stable. Additional generators could be added onto the same engine with tiny transmissions, and each gear would represent a different harmonic. I'm sure there are model builders who could fit this in 3U, and it could replace the 900 for a truly portable system. Since it would already have propane, with a 2U grill you could vertically slide in a couple of burgers and cook meals on the road. Of course, someone is going to want a 1U "micro grill" so they can only cook one hot dog.

It would be like antomatic Lag. ---- Additional generators could be added onto the same engine with tiny transmissions, and each gear would represent a different harmonic. --LH-- Hum... sounds like a Hammond organ. ---- Of course, someone is going to want a 1U "micro grill" so they can only cook one hot dog. --LH-- Not with MOTM !! You bet be grilling something like a nice Johnsonville braut. Hot dogs would be for the Doepfler 1U grill. Trouble is it will cook uneven and leave you wishing you had just boiled it. Stooge Larry

That's another good thing about the 850 pedal interface, you can use it to attach a clutch pedal to disengage the flywheel on a propane powered LFO. I'm surprised you left that out of the description. >Additional generators could be added onto the same >engine with tiny transmissions, and each gear >would represent a different harmonic. > >--LH-- >Hum... sounds like a Hammond organ. I was thinking of a gearbox with a shift lever and calling it the MOTM-MTOM, Manual Transmission Oscillator Module.
