The Analog Heaven Midwest Gathering 2001 is just around the corner. I am
sure it will be a great time again this year with even more interest in the
MOTM!!!

Here are some pics by Cary Roberts of Larry's MOTM at the 2000 event.

Northeast Indiana on Saturday, March 24, 2001.

It is amazing who shows up, from how far away they come, and what equipement
they bring!

I have been going to the AHMW gathering since it started in 1999. Both
years have been very enjoyable and each was different. I expect another
diverse session this year. I am looking forward to seeing Mike C. and the
new Alesis. Last year Mike brought virtually every Moog synth made and even
a Hammond. I expect this year he will "thin down" some. :)

Harry Bissell says he will be there. He and wife were there last year.
Harry is a crazy guy right out of the 60s that is both knowledgeable and
fun.

Tony Clark has come the last couple of years. He has some hard to find
stuff you might like to see. He has one of only 75 Fenix modulars. While
it is not truly modular (all on one box). It is a very interesting fully
patchable synth that packs a lot of stuff into a small space. It is fun to
see OPG (other people's gear).

All-in-all, the gathering is a great time. I look forward to it and very
much appreciate the hospitality of Andrew. If you live remotely close and
can come, I encourage it. Last year I look a lot of synths - OB-8, JP-6,
MOTM, Micro Moog, Yamaha CS-15. This year I am limiting myself to MOTM, my
JP-6, and another keyboard for control CV. I was hoping to have the Europa
upgrade in my JP-6. But, I was not selected for beta testing (which is
going on now). And, it looks like we are still about 4 to 6 weeks away from
that product shipping.
