also i m suspicious that giving the 101 CVs of 0-3.4v is resulting in small pitch changes only. that should be a 3.4 octave range. does the 101 CV input work

Do you have V1.3 (boots up in the LCD)? This sounds like a V1.2 bug fixed in V1.3 If you have a PC, you can flash the V1.3 code over MIDI. If not, I will do it
