----- Original Message ----- From: skin job <skin_job@...> I'm considering getting a kenton midi to c/v converter as advertised on synthtech, but i see some possible difficulties that i might encounter with one. I see that the rackmount versions have the outputs on the rear. On my current rack, I would need some kind of breakout module to interface it efficiently. Has anyone made one of these before? -------- James, You did not say which Kenton. I have a pro-2000 and I did my breakout right on the rack ears. You cannot get everything there, but you can get all that I use right now. I am attaching a low-res photo since it is coming to the group. If you want something hi-res from front and back I would be happy to send it to you. The 5 connections on the right are MIDI IN, CVA, CVB, Gate A, and Gate B. On the left you have the 6 aux assignable voltages. -------- The only reason I ask, is that I would assume that someone would have come up with a breakout panel for one by now. If there is anyone who had extra panels made, please let me know. -------- # 1 Stooge Moe Bradley did make one for the Expressionist. Ever since then, I have thought that we should have one for the Kenton-2000 and maybe pro-4 if we have any pro-4 users. Sometime hopefully in early 2001, Dave and are a talking about another run of panels. We need to do more 822 and 831s since I sold 70 of those PCBs. We have been taking input from others on what should be included. We can consider a pro-2000 breakout panel if others are interested. # 2 Stooge, Larry Hendry
