When I was doing a recording using my Doepfer, I stacked a high quality 
Master Room spring reverb ontop of my Doepfer, but I was getting so much hum 
that I had to put it on the floor.  If a totally separate and enclosed spring 
reverb outside of the Doepfer picks up so much hum, I can see how any spring 
reverb within the case will be way too noisy for use.
