Bummer! I assume the bottom of the tank is open and the tank is grounded -- you might try covering this open space with a sheet of metal to see if that reduces some of the noise. Actually, if I'd remembered, I would've mentioned a silkscreen panel for a diy spring reverb (after someone posted a list of Moog modules and I noticed that they had one). I do like spring reverbs, but the hum thing is a drag. Maybe they are not the best candidate for a diy module. No hum from my ancient PAiA Hot Springs -- but those look quite expensive last time I looked!
