Re: [motm] Oakley panels

2000-08-29 by Charles Stella

Hello all,

I have allready completed the Oakley WaveFolder and and
have PCB/Parts in the works for the Moog SuperLadder 2, MultiMix and
Blacet DarkStar. I am using Schaeffer in Germany to engrave the panels.
I had them do the Wavefolder first about 2 months ago and am very happy
with the results. I have to say that engraving looks fanatastic and very
classy. I went for Tony's basic design and it cost about $25.00 dollars
to have it done. The express postal shipping from Berlin cost about the
same and took about a week to receive. At a total cost of $50.00 it was
worth it to me. I plan to have all 3 new panels made at once this time
to save on shipping. The customer supprt at Schaeffer was excellent and
the software they provide for design is quite good. I have souped up
Tony's panel design's by adding tick marks around all of the pots. This
does double the cost of the panel but even so, with PCB and all parts
the cost of the modules still comes in at the MOTM range of $100 to
$200 each. If any one is interested in these files let me know and I can
email them to you. You will need a copy of the Front Panel Designer
software available at http://www.schaeffer-apparatebau.de/ You have to
navigate in German for a minute but there is an English version
available for download. Just my 2 cents. Charles.
