a few suggestions (based on many mistakes made that i have learned from)..... decide how much eqpt you need to use and then divide that amount by two. if you are "free patching" between devices i.e. (606 to fuzzbox to ring-mod to mixer to...*wait* lets send it to the fibulator... etc...) you might want to color-code your patch cords w/ tape. run with the limitations. in the studio its nice to be able to run everything through everything else but you have a lot longer time to monkey w/ it.....it helps to have some familiar systems/routings to work with when you are playing live. keep in mind you will be devoting some of that precious "listening bandwidth" to your fellow performers--if you are completely tapped out trying to figure out what the hell is going on w/ your rig you probably won't be picking up on what other people are trying to communicate (hopefully they are doing the same...) less is more (least is most?). enjoy ad >hi all: > >I'm going to be doing a live PA (even though i promised myself "never >again!") at >a bar this weekend & I've decided to bring along my motm system.
