i had on of the paia units that the original inspiration was derived from as 
part of my old 8700 micro,kybd,quash setup. mine was rigged to be able to 
work with the random composition program, pink tunes and to be able to set 
env. values instead of entering them on the keypad for the software envelope 
generators.
for the cost involved, very low, its a worthwhile circuit to fool around 
with. getting it to be "precision" would add to the cost, better resistors, 
better regulated power but still shouldn`t be too bad. hopefully, crow will 
let us know how it works out !
