Wow. I dared sleep last night, and look at all this new e-mail! Rear-facing PSU does not work for those who use their SKB pop-up mixer cases in the "closed" position, like me. So please keep some of the other ones around if you're going to do that. If I were to build a wooden case, I was planning on mounting the module in the rear anyway, and just reaching around back to turn it on (as I do with much of my other gear). Is there a problem with this I haven't anticipated? I'm not sure which conversation you're talking about when you mention the MOTM-logo blanks, Paul. I'm afraid it was one of my suggestions, but that isn't what I was suggesting. I was brainstorming a way to cover the backs of the modules when they're exposed--i.e. when a pop-up mixer case is in the "open" position, the backs of the modules are exposed. So I had suggested a panel that is approx. 19" wide, with side wings. From above, it would look like this (monospace your e-mail to see correctly): _!_ _!_ | | | | | | | | _________________________________ The exclamation points are where the screws would go in from the front. You could put some sort of nut on the back to catch it. Basically, you would be able to mount this over the backs of modules to protect them. I threw out the idea that you could screenprint MOTM or Synthesis Technology on the back of the top one for those who don't put black tape over their Roland logos when they play out ;) I would NOT purchase front-panel blanks with any kind of logo on them. I don't need to advertise to myself--I wanted to advertise to the glow-stick kids ;) Aw hell, I just mocked something up and attached it. This is what I meant all along. Please look at it.
