From: davevosh@... <davevosh@...> >one i didn`t see mentioned was "tangent" >see : >http://www.randomtunes.com >my friend, jack deckard ( programmer of "s.a.c." from the old c64 days, a >former amiga user and now "on the dark side" using wintel ), recommended it >to me highly. hello all i just got around to do _)))) ///////////////// (and that would be hello from thomas the cat) i just got around to downloading Tangent, unfortunately, as i also found with Koan, i haven't the faintest idea what i'm doing. Koan was more instantaneous, while Tangent kind of lurks then suddenly blurts a pile of notes at you - this was with the MOTM & MC202 hooked up. i routed Tangent through the GM module on my soundcard (as a last resort) - there's some pretty good stuff going on - however it seemed so easy to sound like a teenage classical muso - so i set all the controls to random, and then was forced to give up i think both programs have a great deal of potential for MOTM users, but they take an awfull lot of setting up to work with monophonic instruments anyone else had a go with either of these programs..? cheers paul b
